Frozen or Unresponsive Screen – PAX Terminal Troubleshooting

✅ Step 1: Attempt a Soft Reboot

Useful when the device is stuck but still showing something on screen.

Method A: Using Buttons

  • Press and hold the Green (✔️) and Red (❌) buttons together.
  • Hold for 5–10 seconds until the screen turns off.
  • Wait for the device to automatically reboot.

Method B: Using the Power Button

  • Press and hold the Power button (usually on the side/top) for 10–15 seconds.
  • Release when the screen turns off, then press it again to turn the device back on.

🔁 Step 2: Perform a Hard Reboot (If No Response)

Use this when the screen is totally unresponsive or frozen with no change.

  1. Unplug the device from power or remove it from the charging dock.
  2. Wait 2–5 minutes.
  3. Reconnect to power.
  4. Hold the Power button (or Green + Red buttons) for 15 seconds until reboot starts.

🔌 Step 3: Check Power and Battery

Use this when the screen is totally unresponsive or frozen with no change.

  1. Make sure the device has enough charge.
  2. Plug it into a known working charger and leave it for at least 10–15 minutes.
  3. Then try powering on again.
