Paper is printing but no text showing on Receipt
✅ 1. Wrong Side of Thermal Paper
Most common issue.
- Fix: Open the printer and flip the paper roll.
- The shiny side of thermal paper must face the print head (downward).
- Try scratching the paper lightly with a coin or fingernail — only the thermal side will show black marks.
✅ 2. Using Non-Thermal Paper
Thermal printers require thermal paper (no ink or ribbon used).
- Fix: Make sure you’re using thermal paper rolls (not plain bond paper).
- Look for heat-reactive coating or try scratching with a fingernail.
✅ 3. Print Head Issue (Dirty or Damaged)
If the print head is dirty or faulty, no text may appear.
- Fix:
- Power off printer and let it cool.
- Open the cover.
- Gently clean the print head strip using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
- Do not scratch or scrape the print head.
🔍 Test It:
- Load paper correctly.
- Power OFF the printer.
- Hold the FEED button, then power ON.
- Release when it starts printing.
✅ If text appears: it’s a software/config issue.
❌ If still blank: likely a hardware or paper issue.
⚠️ Final Check: Try Another Paper Roll
- Bad or heat-damaged paper can cause blank printing too
